What we collect

If you create an account

Your email address and display name.
A password, stored only as a salted scrypt hash. We never store it in readable form.
A session token in an HTTP-only cookie, so you stay signed in.
The date of your last sign-in.

If you submit or claim a listing

Everything you enter: name, tagline, description, URLs, category, tags and pricing.
A record of the submission or claim, and the moderation decision made on it.

If you simply browse

A randomly generated visitor ID stored in a cookie. It contains no personal information and exists so we can count a view or a click once rather than repeatedly, and to enforce one Pulse per listing per day.
Which listings were viewed and which outbound links were clicked, with the referring source where the browser provides one.
Your search queries, the number of results, and whether you clicked a result.

If you contact a listing owner

The name, email address and message you enter, which are shown to that owner.

If you buy promotion

A transaction record: amount, listing, and the identifier returned by the payment provider.
We never see or store your card details. Payment processing is handled entirely by our payment provider.

Why we collect it

To run the service — accounts, listings, moderation and search.
To report honestly to listing owners — views and outbound clicks their listing received.
To prevent abuse — rate limiting, duplicate detection and spam prevention.
To improve discovery — searches that return nothing tell us what is missing.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data.
We do not run third-party advertising or tracking networks on the site.
We do not build advertising profiles about you.
Analytics shown to listing owners are aggregate counts, never individual identities.

Cookies

AGMAN sets two cookies, both strictly functional:

Session cookie — only if you sign in. Expires after 30 days.
Visitor ID — a random identifier for deduplicating views and clicks.

There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Sharing

We share data only with the services needed to operate AGMAN:

our hosting and database provider;
our payment provider, if you buy promotion;
anyone we are legally required to disclose to.

Note that a listing page is public by design: anything you put in a listing is visible to everyone.

Retention

Account data: until you delete your account.
Listings: until removed by you or by us.
View, click and search events: retained in aggregate for analytics.
Transaction records: retained as long as required for accounting.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable form. Contact the address published on the site and we will respond.

If a listing about you was created by AGMAN from public information and you want it gone, tell us and we will remove it — you do not need to claim it first.

Security

Passwords are hashed with scrypt and per-user salts. Sessions are HTTP-only and expire. Database access is server-side only. No system is perfectly secure, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Children

AGMAN is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and its date. See also our terms of service.
